There are a number of upgrades for the 2018 S-Class, which range from cosmetic changes like a redesigned front and rear fascia, new upholstery options, and updated headlights and taillights to substantial changes in its engine options, safety tech, and infotainment system.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class enters the new model year with a variety of refinements that ensure it will continue to be the yardstick for luxury automobiles.
Available in a staggering nine different versions (depending on whether you'd like your S-Class as a sedan, coupe, cabriolet, as an AMG® or with 4MATIC®, etc.), there is bound to be a configuration that suits your needs. Prices start at $89,000,* but even a "base" S-Class is anything but ordinary. A generous variety of standard features can be found inside, ranging from a pair of 12.3-inch widescreens set side by side to give you access to everything you need to know while driving to touch-control buttons placed right on the steering wheel to keep you safe and in control.

Drive & Handling
The S 450 Sedan uses a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine which produces 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a new 9G-TRONIC® transmission. The S 450 comes standard with front-wheel drive but is also offered with the manufacturer's 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. Sticking with the sedan, the S 560 comes equipped with a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 good for 463 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque and comes with standard 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.
Want to kick things up a notch? Consider the S-Class as a coupe or cabriolet (performance metrics remain the same either way). The S 550's 4.7-liter biturbo V8 produces 449 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, the AMG® S 63's 5.5-liter biturbo AMG® V8 is good for 577 hp and 646 lb-ft of torque, and the AMG® S 65's 6.0-liter biturbo AMG® V12 offers a beastly 621 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque.

No one enjoys parallel parking, but the available Active Parking Assist feature will help ease the frustration the next time you find yourself needing to park on the street. Thanks to built-in sensors in the bumper, the vehicle will be able to evaluate whether it can fit in the spot, and if it can, it will steer the vehicle in smoothly. All you need to do is control the gear and the braking.
