Mercedes-Benz Dominates 'World Car of the Year' Awards

For a brand so famous for the holding itself to the standard “The best or nothing,” and delivering on that standard time and again, you’d think the novelty and excitement of winning industry and consumer recognition would have well and truly worn off by now for Mercedes-Benz. That’s simply not the case, though.

Recently at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz received a trio of honors at the World Car Awards 2015. The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class earned particular praise, winning the “World Car of the Year 2015 Award.”

Likewise, the S-Class Coupe was also a winner. It was voted “World Luxury Car 2015,” while the exhilarating new Mercedes-AMG® GT sports car picked up the award for “World Performance Car 2015.”

In keeping with a design philosophy that demands excellence on all fronts, Mercedes-Benz was the only automobile manufacturer to make it into the final round of the awards with five vehicle, which is a first for the award’s 11-year history.
